We are working with a very interesting client that sits between the language and technology that are looking for a very senior high-level strategic AM with the ability to grow a book of business.

  • They will inherit a $30m+ existing account book, including the company’s largest single customer and 4 other accounts
  • They must be very independent, be able to map out growth and upsell opportunities, and also be able to create and deliver their own presentation materials for clients (i.e. have some marketing skills)
  • They must have experience selling to software and tech, e-commerce and search companies (Facebook, Google, eBay, Yahoo, Bing etc.)
  • Someone who has managed a $1-2m account book is not going to cut it
  • Must be on the west coast, available for travel
  • Base salary $120-150k
  • Budgeted OTE is $240k, could go as $350k for a real star.
  • As a basic overview of what this client does, they help provided ‘managed crowd’ services to large search, social and e-commerce tech companies – providing multilingual crowd-sourced data to train Machine Learning algorithms
    • i.e. if Google wants to know when people search ‘running’, do they want to see in results lists of local races, links to running shoes, blogs about running etc… our client presents 3-4 different search results lists to thousands of freelance crowd-sourced users and says ‘which one best responds to your search for ‘running’ ?’, and then feeds this data back to Google’s algorithm which learns how to better serve searches for ‘running’
      • this same process is used to train voice recognition engines (like Amazon echo, Siri etc.) in multiple languages, to train transcription engines, improve search engine results, and many more applications
