Accounting Assistant

A growing language company is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join their team.

> Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform bank balance check
  • Enter vendor invoices into the system
  • Print and send checks
  • Send invoices to clients in a timely manner
  • Process timesheets and PTO forms for contracted & in-house employees
  • Calculate profit and loss for all contracts
  • Review the company’s financial statement
  • Fund Tracking for all contracts
  • Credit Card Reconciliation at least once a month and compare with office expenses
  • Review company bank statements
  • Perform HR duties such as payroll, new employee forms and benefits enrollment, and manage monthly payments for benefits

 

> Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting and using Quick Books
  • Office experience is highly desired
  • Must be organized and be able to pay attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize given tasks and work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with clarity to both contractors and clients
  • Must be able to multi-task on a daily basis
  • Must be positive with the highest degree of professionalism
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to manage multiple requests and changes on a daily basis
  • Experience in government invoicing and GSA audit is a plus
