About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager for one of our clients which is one of the world's leading language providers. This role is permanent, full-time and remote although one must be available to work from the office in Chicago occasionally.

Our client has offices in the UK (HQ), USA, Romania, Singapore, Australia, Egypt, Germany and Guatemala. They offer translation, interpreting, localization, subtitling, transcription and voice over solutions to clients in 10 key sectors. Their portfolio include Enterprise companies such as Netflix, Honda, LinkedIn, Financial Times, ICON, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Hilton, Paramount and Microsoft. Moreover, in 2023, they have won the BELA Award for "Best Language Service Provider for Career Progression". 

Education & Experience
  • 3 years of experience in a project management environment within the Translation and Localization industry
  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in languages, otherwise experience in the Localization industry.
  • Adaptable to change, curious to new ideas and easily navigates complex projects.
  • Have strong quality management, problem solving abilities, people and project management skills.
  • Have in depth understanding of localisation engineering tools and IT literacy.
Role Responsibilities
  • People and performance management of a small team of Project Managers and/or Junior Project Managers.
  • Supervise, train or guide team members by having regular 121s and providing effective feedback.
  • Be the escalation point for the team. Actively support team members in project management and delivery.
  • Assign roles and tasks to dedicated team members, based on individual strengths and abilities.
  • Manage projects end-to-end, i.e., act as the main point of communication between internal team and clients, dealing with all requests, queries, and issues, and ensure swift resolution of any issues.
  • Lead and manage complex scope projects where analysis requires a review of a variety of factors and the coordination of various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage quality control and development of resources. Work with Resourcing & Quality Assurance on recruitment and on-boarding of resources.
  • Lead QBR reviews for assigned portfolio of clients. Attend client meetings and trade shows and/or relevant industry events.
  • Consider and implement ways of improving service for portfolio of clients.
  • Closely monitor and control project financials. Meet cost control targets and seek ways to improve them in line with company objectives & KPIs.
  • Systematically and logically identify and weigh options to resolve problems, generating solutions after reviewing all relevant information, including risks and the impact of potential solutions.
  • Active role in strategic account management and Account Plan preparation and implementation in close collaboration with Sales / Account Management and other Functions involved.
  • Analyse and report on key account, project, team or other performance metrics following established procedures or as requested by stakeholders.
