Vendor Management Director required in the UK (permanent, full time and fully remote).
Our client is a dynamic language services provider specialising in the life science industry who is actively looking for a Vendor Management Director in the UK.
This position is responsible for: team management, vendor recruitment, evaluation of existing vendors, relationship management with existing vendors, rate negotiations, vendor rankings reporting, vendor training.
We are looking for a driven professional who is hands on within establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers/vendors.
Key skills required:
Degree in Languages or Translation Studies, or a similar qualification.
2+ years of experience in a management role in the translation industry.
5+ years of experience in a vendor management role in the translation industry. Significant advantage for candidates with 10+ years of such experience.
Significant advantage to candidates who have managed similar departments in other translation companies.
Familiarity with industry standard HR management and CAT tools.
Good communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, with particular awareness about the challenges involved in working in a multicultural environment.
Ability to work independently, bringing and implementing new ideas.
